Background
As an efficient general counterstain for cell and tissue substrates with immunoconjugates with a label contrasting with the greenish-yellow fluorescence of this product. The purpose of counterstaining is to enhance the optical contrast of the immunospecific staining against a counterstained background.
Product
Fluorochrome coupled purified rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (pH7.2). No preservative added
Product Form: FITC
Formulation: Fluorochrome coupled purified rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (pH7.2). No preservative added
Specificity
Fluorescein isothiocyanate-conjugated polyclonal Rabbit IgG.
Applications
ELISA,Immunocytochemistry,Immunohistochemistry (frozen),(In)direct immunofluorescence. The conjugate is shipped at ambient temperature and may be stored at +4°C, prolonged storage at -20°C. Reconstitute the lyophilized antiserum by adding 1 ml sterile distilled water. Spin down to remove insoluble particles, divide into small aliquots, and store frozen at or below -20°C. Prior to use an aliquot is thawed at ambient temperature, spun down again, and used to prepare working dilutions by adding sterile PBS pH7.2). Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation. It will not affect the performance of the conjugate. Diluted product should be stored at +4°C, not refrozen, and preferably used the same day.
