Background
ADAMDEC1 is expressed in the immune system, by dendritic cells and macrophages. It may play an important role in the control of the immune response and during pregnancy.1 Due to the partial lack of a disintegrin domain and the total lack of a cysteine-rich domain, this protein has been placed in a novel subclass of the ADAM gene family2.
Synonyms: A disintegrin and metalloproteinase domain-like protein decysin 1,ADAM-like protein decysin 1
Source
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide derived from the human ADAMDEC1 protein.
Product
Product Form: Affinity Purified
Formulation: Provided as solution in phosphate buffered saline with 0.08% sodium azide
Purification Method: Antigen Immunoaffiinity Purification
Concentration: See vial for concentration
Applications
Antibody can be used for Western blotting (1:400 dilution) and immunohistochemistry on paraffin embedded tissues (2-10 µg/ml). Optimal concentration should be evaluated by serial dilutions.
Functional Analysis: Western Blotting
Positive Control: Expressed highly in the small intestine and appendix, moderately in lymph node, mucosal lining of the colon, thymus, spleen and very weakly in the bone marrow. Predominantly expressed in dendritic cells (DC) of the germinal center. Weakly expressed in monocyte and highly expressed in macrophage. Absent in immature DC.
Storage
Product should be stored at -20°C. Aliquot to avoid freeze/thaw cycles
Product Stability: See expiration date on vial
