Background
Bisphenol A (BPA) is predominantly used in the production of polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins that are used in many products. It is released into the environment and food. BPA is an endocrine disruptor with estrogenic and obesogenic properties. It influences reproduction and has an epigenetic effect already in the foetus.
Source
Rabbit immune serum, purified by caprylic acid extraction.
Immunogen: BSA-Bisphenol Valeric Acid (BVA)
Product
Each vial contains 0.5 ml 0.8 mg/ml of purified (caprylic acid) rabbit polyclonal IgG containing 0.02% sodium azide.
Specificity
Immunogen: BSA-Bisphenol Valeric Acid (BVA), Target: Bisphenol A, CAS no.: 80-05-7, Solubility: Acetone, Ethanol, Ether, Benzene.

Applications
The antibody may be used in ELISA and IAC.
Dilution of 1/15,000 from the delivered solution.(The titer is defined as the dilution that gives 50 % of the absorbance from the maximum absorbance when tested with ELISA).
Suggested concentration to use in ELISA : 1/15,000 from the delivered solution. HRP-conjugated derivative as a tracer
Storage
Store at 4 °C or aliquot and store at -20 °C for longer periods.
Precautions should be taken upon storage for longer periods. Problems of long term stability may occur with highly diluted solutions.
For long storage purposes in solution the addition of sodium azide at 0.02 % is advised with the appropriate precautions of use.
Shipping Conditions: Ship at ambient temperature.
