Background
Alkylphenols are used as starting material for the production of surface active substances, detergents, pesticides, paints, textile and paper. It is released during the production and use of these products. Alkylphenols are recognized as endocrine disruptors, in particular estrogenic endocrine disruptors.
Source
Rabbit Ig purified by affinity purification on a caprylic acid coupled column
Immunogen: BSA-C6-alkylphenol conjugate
Product
Each vial contains 0.5 ml 0.8 mg/ml of affinity purified polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (pH 7.2) containing 0.02% sodium azide.
Specificity
Target: Alkylphenols (a family of comparable compounds; as an example nonylphenol is given), CAS no.: 104-40-5
The antibody was tested for specificity using 2 conjugates: BSA-C6-AP and BSA-C8-AP

Applications
The antibody may be used in ELISA and IAC.
For ELISA, the recommended dilution is 1:300 to 1:3000, depending on the conjugate used for detection. For positive controls ELISA plates are coated with 400 ng/ml BSA-conjugated C6/C8-alkylphenol.
Storage
This working antibody solution is stable for at least 7 days at 4 °C.
Precautions should be taken upon storage for longer periods. Problems of long term stability may occur with highly diluted solution.
For long storage purposes in solution the addition of sodium azide at 0.02 % is advised with the appropriate precautions of use.
Shipping Conditions: At ambient temperature
